Scribbling Girl
Angela Dudman - Scribbling Girl
The image for Angela’s Winebox drawing came from a Post WW2 photograph of a mentally fragile polish orphan in a foreign European orphanage. Isolated and silenced by emotional and language barriers, the animated and gestural scribbling on the chalkboard acts as a glorious reprieve, an outlet, a voice, stating loud and clear, here I am, I’ve made my mark.
“For me, this drawing speaks of finding myself spread so thin, still studying, still working, still stretched and still scribbling away when time allows me the luxury”.
This winebox raised $1,100.00 for RealPeople @ Mosaic.
