  • Any person wanting to bid at this auction must be registered, have a bidding number and have read the terms and conditions of sale before being active in auction.
  • Where bidders are unable to attend the sale Absentee Bids are welcome. Absentee bids are preferred at least 48 hours prior to the auction but may be accepted up to one hour before the start of the auction provided all details of the Registration Form are completed.
  • Any item may be sold before the Auction if a pre-set Buy Now Price is agreed by the bidder. Thus all lots may not reach the Auction on the night.
  • All Absentee bidders will be contacted to confirm details. NOTE: If you have not been contacted your bid may not have been received.
  • All Absentee bids must be accompanied by Credit Card payment details. Absentee bids will be advanced by the auctioneer. All bidding on behalf of the Absentee is undertaken in a competitive manner, at the lowest possible price (taking into account the reserve price and other bids).
  • Live phone bidding by prior arrangement is also available. If you wish to bid by phone live at the auction please contact the manager on 06 844 4636 to make the arrangements. NOTE: limited numbers of phone bidders can be accepted on any one lot.
  • The organizers will make all endeavours to ensure all details enabling Absentee bids and Telephone bids to be made are completed in time to allow their inclusion in the auction. They take no responsibility for circumstances arising that prevent this. To avoid this it is suggested that all Telephone or Absentee bids are made by forwarding the Absentee bid form to the organizers well in advance of the auction starting.
  • The auction will start no earlier than 6.00pm on Friday the 22nd February 2013.
  • The highest bidder will be the purchaser on the ‘hammer price’. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the preceding terms of auction.
  • Should any dispute arise as to the bidding then at the auctioneer’s discretion the lot may be put up for sale again at the preceding bid or the auctioneer may declare the purchaser.
  • The auctioneer has the right to refuse the bidding of any person.
  • No person shall advance less at a bid than the sum nominated by the auctioneer.
  • All bids are binding. On the fall of the hammer the highest bidder has entered into an unconditional contract to purchase the goods and shall pay the full hammer price.
  • All bids shall be as per lot price.
  • GST is not payable as Presbyterian Support East Coast conducts the auction.
  • No goods are to be removed while the auction/selling is in progress.
  • Successful bidders must pay on the night of the auction unless arrangement has been. Cash, Cheque or Credit card are accepted methods of payment (eftpos will be available).
  • Goods may be uplifted after the auction provided payment in full has been made. Buyers will not be allowed to take lots until they are officially handed over by event personnel.
  • The full risk in the goods including (but not limited to) their storage and delivery passes to the purchaser immediately upon the fall of the hammer.
  • All lots must be paid for in full and collected by Friday 1st of March 2013.
  • Where the winning bidder does not reside in Hawke’s Bay then arrangement of delivery must be made with the event manager as soon as possible following the auction. All freight costs will be on charged to the buyer.
  • The auctioneer accepts no liability whatsoever for goods.
  • The purchaser shall not be entitled to reproduce any work or images of the work.
  • No intellectual property in any goods sold shall pass to the purchaser.
  • Presbyterian Support East Coast reserves the right to use artwork images in future promotion of Winebox events.
